The futility of voting

"It doesn't matter who you vote for, the Government still gets elected." -- Source unknown

In memory of Auerbach

“These guys today want you to believe that what they're doing is some kind of a science. Coaching is simple: You need good players who are good people. You have that, you win. You don't have that, you can be the greatest coach who ever lived and you aren't going to win.” -- Red, in Let Me Tell You a Story

God-given Instincts

"God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts! He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste! Taste, don't swallow." -- John Milton (Al Pacino) in The Devil's Advocate

MAF

has come and gone. While Brother and GF were (fill in own adverb since I can't possibly know) admiring the moon and pathetic lanterns at the Yellow City, I was left sitting alone somewhere in the ulu West. Protecting me from the haze is a lousy excuse. That I'm heavy and difficult to transport is an even worse reason. My total mass with clothes and pillowcase is less than 700 g.

I am an extremely unhappy polar bear. :(
